  1. 3 Most Unmissable Attractions In France The Eiffel Tower: The Eiffel Tower is located in Champ de Mars, Paris, France. Named after the famous Gustave Eiffel, this tower was constructed between 1887 to 1889. It is one of the most visited monuments in the world, it receives more than 6 million visitors annually. The tower stands 324 meters tall, while its base is 125 meters making it one of the tallest standing structure in Paris. The Eiffel Tower was the first structure in the world to surpass the 300-meter mark in total height.
