  2. What is sinusitis? Sinusitis refers to an inflammation of membrances lining with the sinuses that may occur due to bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Sinusitis Prevalence in USA only: Number of adults diagnosed with sinusitis: 29.4 million (12.3%).

  3. What are sinuses? Sinuses are one of the hollow cavities that are present in the skull and are air filled. Healthy sinuses have no bacterial, viral or fungal infection.
