  1. New remote Learning experience for kids at SAI Angan diigo.com/item/note/857t7/90ge from web site Edit Delete Share The education sector saw significant changes during the pandemic. Physical classrooms were inaccessible. Virtual classes became the new normal, even for the best play school in India. Older children were obedient, but for the younger ones, it was a surprise. Remote learning was a new yet unwelcome change. Remote learning means distance learning. The inability to conduct physical classes at school paved the way for more unique methods of teaching. Teachers had to impart knowledge from screen to screen while keeping the level interested and avoiding chaos, however possible. Children initially found virtual classrooms exciting but gradually maintaining their enthusiasm became a task for the teachers. Keeping the students interested was becoming an increasingly difficult task as time went by. Hence, teachers at SAI Angan play school in Odisha came up with small activities to maximize student participation. Each teacher writes all students' names on little pieces of paper and draws one report out while teaching. The name of the student that comes up has to answer the question. This ensured the involvement of students who weren't raising their hands and helped teachers make sure that every student got a chance to speak his part. Little children liked this technique because it made them feel heard. They came up with presentations through Google slides and incorporated the students' names while doing so. For example, teachers used the name of a student while doing a math problem. They also used cartoon or superhero themes in their presentations. Even though teaching themes were time-consuming, the teachers left no stone unturned to help their students study. Seeing the faces of familiar cartoons during lessons made the students interested, which made the teacher's job easier. Even then, the maximum time the students would be interested in the presentation was about twenty minutes after which they started fidgeting. For the students, teachers at SAI Angan play school in Odisha came up with video aids and played songs and small breathing exercises. The students would generally start grooving to the music and would lighten the mood almost instantly. Seeing little children dance to songs was a sight for sore eyes. To make students focus on lessons, teachers have them use the tools available on Zooms like the raise hand option or the various emoticons available. 1/2
