  1. The Need For NDT For Industries Non-destructive testing methods always detect the problems with the materials even before the staff working on them reports any issue. The industry’s experts suggest performing these tests from time to time as to rule out any possibility of damages and harm to mankind and materials. Some of these testing processes are explained below: Leak testing This is one of the most important testing methods, which is generally employed to detect the leaks under the bottom of tanks and vessels. If it is detected at the right time, a lot of damages and dollars can be saved. Welding procedure By performing this method of testing, it is checked whether the components can break which are involved in the welding. For an instance, a pipeline may get ruptured causing a lot of hassles. This method needs to be performed by highly experienced and Certified Welding Inspectors. The procedures must comply with the industry’s safety and quality standards. Positive material identification With the help of this testing method, the chemical properties of ferrous and non- ferrous materials are determined. Some of the materials, which can be identified with this method, are stainless steel, steel, copper, titanium and nickel based materials.

  2. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) GPR of concrete is implemented to locate the availability of rebar location, active electrical lines, post tension cables and utility lines. The use of harmless radiations is encouraged in this testing. Experienced and qualified professionals with the in-depth knowledge, skills and expertise should perform NDT testing for better outcome and a healthy working environment in the plant.
