Graft, as understood in American English, is a form of political corruption defined as the unscrupulous use of a politician's authority for personal gain. Political graft occurs when funds intended for public projects are intentionally misdirected in order to maximize the benefits to private interests.<br>

  2. What is Graft and Corruption ? GRAFT AND CORRUPTION INCLUDE BRIBERY, EXTORTION, AND NEPOTISM, AND ARE CHARACTERIZED BY THE SUBORDINATION OF PUBLIC INTERESTS TO PRIVATE AIMS AND VIOLATIONS OF THE NORMS OF DUTY AND WELFARE, ACCOMPANIED BY SECRECY, BETRAYAL, DECEPTION AND A CALLOUS DISREGARD FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES SUFFERED BY THE PUBLIC.

  3. CORRUPTION - is dishonest or illegal behavior especially by powerful people such as government officials or police officers it is a wrong practice or involving an official of an institution. It abuses the holding position to gain an advantage.

  4. The Cost Of Corruption Political Cost - Your freedom and rule of law. Social Cost - Your participation and even your trust in government. Environmental Cost - Your chance for a healthy environment and a sustainable future. Economic Cost - Your opportunity to build and grow wealth.

  5. Form or Type of Corruption Embezzlement - it is stealing the money of someone it trusts. This is usually done through embezzlement or misuse of government funds. The usual punishment thus imposed is life imprisonment. Bribery - it is the offering, giving, receiving or solicitation of anything of value to influence the actions of a government official or employee.

  6. Fraud - wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.

  7. Corruption was referred to as a great sin already in the Bible: “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twist the words of the innocent.” However, the history of corruption is in fact related to the beginning of the creation of law and the state and was already in the antiquity considered an evil, which negatively affects the public administration and the functioning of the political system.
