Application In order to meet reduced Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emission levels, many diesel engine manufacturers have turned to Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) as the technology of choice. Storage , monitoring, and transfer of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is best handled with a single source solution. Features/Benefits DEF Header Simplifies design by integrating level and temperature sensors, DEF strainer, connections for electrical, suction throttle and coolant lines. Description: The heart of the DEF system is the DuraWRX Header. To simplify design, the DEF Header contains integrated level, concentration and temperature sensors. By using ultrasonic sensing technology the solid state sensor eliminates the problems normally associated with mechanical designs. The sensors are fully compatible with major engine control modules. Other Offerings DEF Reservoirs Multiple standard designs (3, 5, 10, 15 and 25 gallon with landscape or portrait orientation) increases installation design flexibility. Standard, validated tank shape options available. DEF Fill Cap Vented/filtered cap and adapters per ISO-22241 are standard offerings for all DEF component and system offerings. Industry leading high capacity fill port strainers ensure clean DEF to the tank. Included in the DEF Header is an engine coolant powered heater to thaw DEF in extreme conditions -40°F (-40°C).
