That’s Life! . Biography. Cheryl Smith, Saigling Elementary. A biography is the story of a person’s life. BIO means LIFE and GRAPHY means WRITING. So when someone WRITES about someone’s LIFE, this is writing a BIOGRAPHY.

  2. A biography is the story of a person’s life. BIO means LIFE and GRAPHY means WRITING. So when someone WRITES about someone’s LIFE, this is writing a BIOGRAPHY.

  3. Many biographies are written about people who “made history” and who are famous for some reason. Why do you suppose we put the picture of famous Americans on our money?

  4. Why do some people get their picture on postage stamps or posters?

  5. A BIOGRAPHY book celebrates a person’s achievements or accomplishments in life.

  6. Some people are famous because of our country’s historical events.

  7. Some people are famous because they are performers and audiences love them

  8. Some people are just “out of this world” and books are written about the amazing things they have done.

  9. We can read biographies about people from other cultures.

  10. People who “care about people” are worth remembering in a biography.

  11. Sports fans love to read biographies about their favorite athletes.

  12. A biography about a ballerina can keep you on your toes!

  13. If you like movie stars and movie makers, you can read about them in a ….Biography book!

  14. Looking for a BIOGRAPHY is easier than pulling a rabbit out of a hat!

  15. If you know the person’s LAST NAME , you can find a biography! Last Name = B-U-S-H

  16. The shelves in the BIOGRAPHY section are arranged in ABC order…by the last name of the person the book is about.

  17. If your “goal” is to find a biography, you also need to know where the biography section is in your library.

  18. A book about a person’s life will have a spine label that says: BIO or B Example: Bio Bio Bio Bio Sai Har Pir Oko

  19. Reading about a person’s life can inspire us to aim high and dream big dreams.

  20. BIOGRAPHY: the story of a person’s life. “BIO” or “ B” will be on the spine label. Think about ABC order and look for the first three letters of the person’s last name on the spine label. Boldly venture forth and find a Biography to read!
