  6. Research Base for Arenas Two studies exploring the Arenas are in process: • One is employing the data set from the National Research Study • One is employing constituent members of PDSs with the PDS itself being the level of analysis

  9. The Research Base for Dynamics • Explored in a national study with response from 35 distinct universities representing a national sample • Dynamics rating and degree of implementation were significantly related, r = +.523, p<.01 (R2 = .27). • This study will be continued

Research At the Overall Conceptual Framework Level: • The conceptual framework will be studied as it applies at the level of a PDS • This is structured as a year-long study • Growth of the PDS will be measured by the PDS Dashboard and by change in behavior/belief • Plans are in the development stage to apply this approach at other PDS sites that represent relationships between different higher education institutions

  16. Strategically: 5 Arenas, and 6 Dynamics permeate planning The Framework identifies our desired culture. Allows everyone to see their contribution to the “big picture.” Establishes expectations for individuals and partners. New partners see the potential of participation. Operationally: Planning during the early years typically focuses on one or two arenas of work Growth is monitored Gaps/incongruities are rapidly identified so that they can be addressed in a timely fashion The conversation begets a stronger learning community Everyone knows the areas needed for growth.
