Great way to end a seriesBy Patrick FaganI absolutely loved this series. The character growth and development arcs for every character were fantastically done. The ending was well done, and the good bye scene was gut wrenching. One of my top 5 favorite series.1 of 1 people found the following

  2. review helpful. Satisfying FinishBy Scott WozniakThis was a great end to the series. More than ever, we got into the heart of our heroine, Widdershins, as she comes home to deal with the demons of her past--both metaphorically and literally. Her forgotten enemy, Lisette, hasn't forgotten Widdershins. And this time Lisette has found her own magical support to counter what Olgun provides--but from evil creatures, of course. And Lisette's schemes has the entire city entwined. So every part of Widdershins' past has to come together to stop this threat. It's fast paced, with creative plot twists, the best balance of humor and emotion of any of the series, and the most beautiful and satisfying ending. It's not shallow or easy, but deeply fulfilling. So glad I read the series to the end.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Very much recommended.By CustomerA rousing end to a rollicking adventure. It had be tearing up at the end. Very much recommended. The thief Widdershins and her own "personal god," Olgun, return to their home city of Davillon after almost a year away. While Shins expects only to face the difficulty of making up with her friends, what she actually finds is far, far worse. Her nemesis, Lisette, has returned, and she is not alone. Lisette has made a dark pact with supernatural powers that have granted her abilities far greater than anything Widdershins and Olgun can match.Together, Widdershins and Olgun will face enemies on both sides of the law, for Lisette's schemes have given her power in both Davillon's government and its underworld. For even a slim chance, Shins must call on both old friends--some of whom haven't yet forgiven her--and new allies. Even with their help, Widdershins may be required to make the hardest sacrifice of her life, if she is to rid Davillon--and herself--of Lisette once and for all. Praise for the Widdershins Adventures:Widdershins is one of the best heroines in fantasy today. She is funny, confident, guilt-ridden, and determined.... If you arent reading this series, you should be! Night Owl s For teens already reading adult fantasy but wanting something a bit more on their level, this hits the spot perfectly. Kirkus s Widdershins is one of those characters...that will imprint on your mind for a lifetime." WORD for Teens Readers seeking out a strong heroine in a well-crafted fantasy world will enjoy this.
