  1. What are the Different Types of MBA Courses Available in India? Masters of Business Administration, commonly known as MBA, is one of the most sought- after courses in India in the last few years because of the sheer spectrum of career options available after completing the course. There are different types of the MBA courses offered by different B-schools in India. The course format, time duration, medium of education etc. vary from course to course. Let’s read about the different types of MBA courses offered in India. 1. Full-time MBA This is a one/two year(s) full-time MBA programme picked up by the students seeking an MBA degree to round off their education. The full-time MBA course is the most common

  2. course out of all the MBA courses available in this country. For this, the students have to attend weekday classes for 12/24 months. The one year MBA programme is suitable for those who have a few years of work experience and taken temporary off from their jobs. 2. Part-time MBA This is a part-time MBA course specifically designed for the working professionals who can pursue the course on a part-time basis besides doing their regular jobs. The classes are generally held during evenings or over weekends for three or more years. However, the curriculum of part-time MBA is that of the traditional full-time MBA. 3. Executive MBA This MBA programme is for the executives or experienced working professionals who wish to enhance their management skills and broaden up their career potential. The curriculum of the Executive MBA programme is specifically aimed to meet the corporate expectations and help to raise the future leaders of the industry. The duration of the course varies from one to two years depending upon the requirement and availability of the candidates. 4. Distance learning MBA or Online MBA This is a distance mode learning programme in which the candidates do not have to attend the classes in any institution or campus. The candidates can complete their course programme from the comfort of their home and while continuing their jobs.

Weekend MBA/Executive MBA/Duel Certification Programme These are the different types of MBA programme obtainable in India. However, from this year Brainware in association with Lincoln University College, Malaysia is going to start a weekend MBA/duel certification programme. The specially of this programme lies in accumulating the different features of the different types of MBA programmes discussed above. The classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays for 4 hours like that of a part-time MBA, however, the course duration and curriculum is similar to a traditional MBA (2 years) programme.
