  1. All About Long Beach The Pacific Coastal town of Long Beach, California has since been famous as an global city. The town is home to one of the largest shipping ports on the planet bringing with it a massive influx of individuals from all over the world. Many ethnic groups exist inside the town limits of Long Beach, which explains the reason why it earned its nickname"The International City." Long Beach prides itself upon its own unique blend of people by observing all the various nationalities and cultures which exist inside the city. Through the entire year visitors and residents can participate in numerous cultural festivals. Here are Merely Some of the festivals which are held in Long Beach: The festival will take place in February annually on The Queen Mary, which will be among the most well-known ships built on the River Clyde and also a testament to the fantastic craftsmanship of the Scottish men and women. The cultural celebration includes the audio of Scottish bagpipes and drums, many highland dance contests, whiskey tastings and much more. SoCal Italian Festival The 2010 SoCal Italian Festival occur each May, at the Seaport Marina Hotel inside the interior gardens and pool area. The festival intends to maintain the"flavor of Italy" living inside the SoCal region with many different vendors such as Lucci's Gelato & Italian Ice, Unico Los Angeles Pizza and Mediterranean Marble, simply to mention a couple. Some of the SoCal Italian Restaurant profits will benefit the Long Beach Friends of Animals. The 10th yearly Ho'olaule'that a Tiki Beach Festival will occur every August on the shore from sunrise to sunset. The festival hosts several actions such as"Night of Fire" flashlight light, fire walk, fire knife dancing, Crazy Al Evans' Tiki Museum and island songs. The festival includes a Taste of Aloha Food Court at which it is possible to attempt island fashion fare and Isle Market Area and Cultural Center when you are able to buy traditional island crafts and arts. Greek Festival The festival includes several activities for the entire family including carnival games and rides, church tours, Greek dance lessons, dance performances, live music and an assortment of Greek desserts and foods to attempt. The festival is open every day from noon to 9 p.m. Entrance to the festival demands a little donation to the airport and parking is free of charge. Brazilian Street Carnaval The yearly Brazilian Street Carnaval occur in September from the promenade amphitheater and comes with a colorful parade of costumed participants, dance performances, live music and the traditional foods and beverages of Brazil. The people of Long Beach, California are a varied group of individuals who embrace their heritage and encourage other people to experience a little bit of their culture by means of a host annual festivals. These cultural festivals are a terrific way to spend a weekend whilst getting to know your neighbors.
