It makes possible playing audio from Spotify, SoundCloud, Deezer, Poweramp and many other apps, using these apps for playback control as you would for local playback.<br><br>Although Audio Cast works with many apps, it is not technically possible with some apps. Non-exhaustive list of apps known to not work: Tunein, GoneMAD Music Player, XiiaLive.

  1. How To Play SoundCloud On Chromecast Audio?

  2. SoundCloud has been around from a pretty long time. It is not a first party maintained app like Spotify as shown in Chromecast Help. While SoundCloud makers update it pretty much now and then, the uploaders are the real heroes here. SoundCloud is a service where every user can upload their music.

  3. For instance, google has added support for SoundCloud app on iOS and android to be casted to Chromecast seen in Chromecast setup. Just open the app, click on overlay and readily cast it to your Chromecast plugged into TV. Millions of users are also using this functionality provided by collaboration of Google and SoundCloud. However, there is a platform by google on which it is unsupported also mentioned on Chromecast com setup.

  4. Chromecast audio, which is an audio version of Chromecast does not support SoundCloud out of the box as we setup Chromecast. When you open the Google cast app while it is connected to Chromecast audio, casting option from SoundCloud app vanishes. Simply speaking, till now there is no first party support from google for Chromecast audio and SoundCloud unlike Google Chromecast setup.

  6. Make sure that your SoundCloud app is updated to the latest version. You can do that by opening the app and checking the version number mentioned against the latest version number provided in app stores of android and iOS.

  7. You can also run a quick pull mechanism app update to check if SoundCloud is updated. If it is updated, just go to the “Share” button on SoundCloud app on now playing screen.

  8. When you click on share button, you will have an option of BubbleUPnP. Click on it and this proxy will do the job.

  9. Your music will be shared when you click on BubbleUPnP. However since this method is not supported on iOS there is another way around for it.

  10. Autobeat Player is available for android and iOS. This app has a direct support for Chromecast audio. It can also fetch songs from SoundCloud and stream them on Chromecast audio.
