1. Decorative Glass Balustrades using Decorative Interlayers Our client on this project requested a bespoke decorative glass balustrade for a high end salon in London. The aim was to create a white ‘optical illusion’ look which was achieved by using a decorative glass interlayer. As always a sample was produced to preview the bespoke design. We laminated the 21.5mm decorative interlayer between two pieces of 10mm low iron toughened safety glass. This would meet safety regulations and in the event of an accident the glass would retain and be held in place. The process allows for striking bold colours that can range from a transparent finish to an opaque look. Sublistyle can also be backlit to achieve a dramatic and striking feature. The image below shows Sublistyle decorative glass panels being used in a residential bathroom. The panels have been backlit and the finished result is magnificent. Any texture that can be created with photography or artwork can be digitalized and printed onto the decorative interlayer for lamination.
