Can governments use technology to improve governance? • One of the world’s leading developed countries has demonstrated this by creating a web-based e-governance solution that ensures better usability, higher scalability & ensures robust implementation of standardized processes. • ESSPL built an e-governance solution for a government organization that helped instantaneously increase the number of records handled from 500 to 1 million and with much better customer experience.

Increased transparency • This web-based portal enabled the government organization to provide the citizens & businesses a single point of access for all online services. • Users could view the status of their applications at any point of time through the public portal. •  This enabled increased transparency of bureaucratic processes with citizens and businesses thus boosting public confidence

Better Usability • The software was designed to be easy to use.  The user was prompted at each step and guided to the next step by a customized application wizard.  •  Each step was customized based on the responses provided by the user in the previous step, ensuring that the user had a customized experience.  • This also helped the government agency to customize the fields displayed as per their requirements, thus making the software much more usable for the public and the government agency.

Improved process efficiencies • This software platform enabled automation of processes and workflows and improved data sharing. • The platform provides a number of configurable, web-services based integration adaptors for Financial & Accounting Systems, GIS, Electronic Document Management, HR, Legacy Systems, and other third party systems.  •  The software enabled better document management and much more effective report generation.

Latest technology • State of the art technology like ZK framework, JOOQ & GUICE was used to build this web based solution. • ZK framework provides an excellent user interface across desktop and other devices, as it was resolution optimized automatically for web, mobiles & tablets. • JOOQ helped support multiple database platforms and GUICE improved the performance.
