  2. Odoo ERP Evolution With the introduction of the Odoo 14 roadmap and Odoo 14 expected features, there have been many speculations about the Odoo 14 benefits. Launched in 2005, with the name of Tiny ERP, Odoo has evolved out to be the forerunner in the league of ERPs. Reason? Easy to operate and customize. In the case of other ERPs, the user has to perform several ERPs for different segments. In the case of Odoo, more than 35 modules like sales, marketing, inventory, and warehouse, etc. can be operated from a single dashboard.

In the roadmap session, Nathan Grognet, the Product Manager of Odoo, highlighted various qualifiers through which they consider feedback to be an upcoming feature of the Odoo. Most of the Odoo 14 expected features are derived from the input. Means, the feedback from users, app companies, and whoever works on/with Odoo ERP are considered and converted into the app features. Odoo’s research and development department work on the ERP’s feedback, and they decide whether feedback should be a feature. Nearly 60% of the input from the users is considered to be a feature.

Most of the ERP providers work on the research and development, and that’s why their budget goes high, so is costing too. Introduced as Tiny ERP in 2005, Odoo is affordable yet powerful in comparison to other ERPs available. We have seen Odoo evolving to be a great producer. To be a great producer, you have to work on feedback from the clients.

  5. Odoo 14 CRM Features Simplifying Rental Requirements in Ecommerce Industry • In the new CRM feature of Odoo, Odoo has introduced the addition of Rental Orders. In the CRM module, when any opportunity is created, the user can see the ‘New Rental’ button in which the user can add any particular product to create the rental orders. • Additionally, the user can set the time limit where the company can add the rental period. This button is only visible once you install the Rental module in Odoo.
