Interestingly, Retsuko derives a great deal of enjoyment from death metal karaoke

  4. ALTERED CARBON This cyberpunk adaption sponsored by Netflix depicts a futuristic world, in which people treat their flesh and blood as “sleeves.” Memories are stored in chips in the neck and can be easily transported to another flesh. Altered Carbon helps viewers to dive into the dystopian world riddled with bad weather and sex. The plot revolves around a former terrorist who can redeem himself by unraveling the mystery surrounding a tycoon’s murder.

  5. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT The Bluth family, which used to be well-to-do in the past, comes back after five long years and still aspires to lead a lavish lifestyle. The father of the family, Michael Bluth (played by unparalleled Jason Bateman), goes out of his way to protect his nearest and dearest and establish a supportive family network. Make sure to watch the series in a right order, as many gags are based on the previous episodes.

  6. BETTER CALL SAUL Being a prequel to the fabulous Breaking Bad series, Better Call Saul tells the story of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), who happened to be a very talented but morally unstable lawyer better known as Saul Goodman. Truth be told, the plot devotes much attention to Jimmy’s metamorphosis as he gradually becomes Saul, but not only that. Better Call Saul also vividly demonstrates the story of the ex-cop and bagman Mike Ehrmantraut (played by Jonathan Banks) as well as the drug dealer Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito).

  7. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE It is a sitcom that stars Andy Samberg who plays Jake Peralta – a childish cop who has a flair for catching criminals in the most unconventional ways ever imaginable. It really rubs his colleague Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) the wrong way, as she advocates for more lawful methods. To change their working routine, a new officer arrives – a detached Captain Raymond Holt (played by Andre Braugher). It results in multiple clashes of viewpoints as the detectives struggle to investigate an incessible flow of complicated crimes.

  8. DETECTORISTS Detectorists – a true-to-life sitcom, which is amazingly humorous, quaint, and quintesentially British. The story line is based on the everyday life of Andy and Lance, who are amateur metal detectorists. These restless friends can’t settle before they find Saxon gold, so together with other members of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club, they start their quest.

  9. FARGO Netflix is happy to inform the viewers that the third season of this macabre crime drama is already on show. If you’re a newcomer, don’t hesitate to catch up on the previous episodes and get ready for a new treat! While the first season is based on a movie, the two following seasons develop a new story line, still keeping to the same mysterious theme.

  10. HAPPY! The main protagonist of the series, Nick Sax, is a detective turned hitman who resorts to a life of dissipation. Having sufferred a heart attack, the man wakes up and finds out that he is accompanied by Happy – a tiny blue flying unicorn. This is a fictional friend of his daughter Hailey, who has been kidnapped. This imaginary creature truly believes that Nick is the one who can save its friend.

  11. JACK TAYLOR Jack Taylor (played by Iain Glen) is an ex-cop who has a strong predilection for alchohol. Being forced to leave the Irish national police for mistreating a suspect, Jack becomes involved in private detective work around Galway. The man finds assistants – Cody, a young “fan” that both amuses and irritates Jack, and Kate, an inside police source that struggles to make the main protagonist adhere to the right side of the law.

  12. MANHUNT: UNABOMBER It’s a crime drama that revolves around the FBI’s chase after a serial bomber Ted Kaczynski (Paul Bettany), who designed a number of homemade bombs to threaten the society between 1978 and 1995. Manhunt: Unabomber depicts an FBI profiler James Fitzgerald (played by Sam Worthington) that tries to subject bomber’s political writings to rigorous scrutiny in order to find linguistic clues that will help reveal the criminal’s identity. In the course of the riveting investigation, both protagonists come to realize that they have much more in common than they would be willing to admit.

  13. OVER THE GARDEN WALL It is a short series that combines both strange and dramatic elements into a quaint story resembling a fairy tale style. Two half-brothers named Wirt and Greg, as well as a talking bluebird Beatrice and a singing frog, are trapped in the woods of The Unknown. The company struggles to find the way home as some mysterious forces haunt them and prevent from leaving the sinister place.

  14. PEAKY BLINDERS Tommy Shelby is a former soldier that fought in World War I. His family returns to Birmingham after the war, but the man decides to take up a new mission of his own. Now, he craves for power and is determined to destroy everyone and everything getting in his way. Peaky Blinders is full of the episodes featuring excessive alcohol consumption, fighting, and swearing, as the Shelby family turns into the talk of the second city of the UK. You’re up to no good if you ever squabble with the notoriously famous family members, and the police are powerless in this case.

  15. THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD “I thought she could be interesting to kill. So I pretended to fall in love with her.” The quote marks the beginning of James’ inner monologue. James (Alex Lawther) is a dysfunctional teen who tends to behave like a sociopath. Alyssa (played by Jessica Barden), a school newbie with unsavoury parents and a knack for disturbing people, becomes his target.

  16. THE ALIENIST A dangerous killer persecuting children escaped from the prison in New York in 1890s. The local police are inclined to downplay any connections between the murders of the young boys that all worked in the sex industry. Basing upon Caleb Carr’s novel, The Alienist features a criminal psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreizler who teams up with an illustrator John Moore that works for The New York Times and an NYPD’s first female employee Sara Howard aspiring to become a true detective. The trio has to cooperate with a new police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt in an attempt to find and stop the serial killer. They employ a psychological analysis, which was deemed to be the groundbreaking technique at the time.

  17. TRAVELLERS This entertaining Canadian sci-fi series is an absolute much-watch for the fans of futuristic content. It tells the story of a passionate group of time travellers who are sent back to the 21st century to avert the post- apocalyptic future. The gimmick of these people consists in the way they travel. Basically, their consciousness is transferred into the bodies of people bound to die soon, and so the travellers adopt their identities for a while and live those people’s lives between missions.
