About University and City • As a city, Loughborough which is Leicestershire (England) is a nice place to study and work •It has been awarded University of the Year by Sunday Times in 2008/2009 •This university completed 100 years in 2009 •In 1909 a small technical institute in the centre of Loughborough was established to provide education and facilities •In 1966 it was awarded its Charter for excellence achieved by Loughborough College of Advanced Technology and was called Loughborough University of Technology. •In 1996 it was renamed as Loughborough University •It is a campus based university with 437 acres of land University Library

Info for Indian Students Entrance Requirements UG courses CBSE/ICSE/SSLC students must score atleast 75% in UG with 80% in Mathematics expected to achieve IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice), minimum score of 600 (paper-based test) or 250 (computer- based test). PG courses First class is a must and for few courses for eg. Automotive courses need students to get First class with Distinction. IELTS 6.5 or or TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice), minimum score of 600 (paper-based test) or 250 (computer-based test). Business Courses (MSc Management, Finance and Management, International Management, Marketing and Management ) These are conversion courses so students from non-business background can take up the courses.

Application Process Loughborough University requires students to apply for their UG courses via UCAS ONLY. PG students will complete the application form and submit it with the following documents SOP 2 references CV (They DO NOT offer MBA) Work Exp documents (if applicable) IELTS or TOEFL (when taken) Copies of all mark sheets Copy of passport Please ensure that all students who apply to Loughborough are first class holders from good universities Design courses need portfolio to be submitted
