  1. HOLLOW TREE'S RESORT CONQUERING BOREDOM WHILE STUCK AT HOME How not to get bored while staying home during this pandemic

  2. YOGA & MEDITATION Yoga is not about reaching exhaustion. It is about calming your body, and your mind, which is the first stage for successful meditation. So start slow and increases your flexibility and core body strength. Meditation makes you more focussed and calm. Mind exercises also reduce stress, and eventually, you have control over your blood pressure and anxiety.

  3. COOKING We are pretty sure that you would have learnt the basic cooking till now. What we are asking you is to go to the next level. Try those food items that you crave to eat out but can't due to lockdown or may be hygiene concerns. Take some cookbooks out of the shelves or go online and try your hand at those recipes. You will get better with practice,

  4. GARDENING Get your hands dirty. Nothing satisfies you more than seeing some green around you. Even if you don’t have a lot of space, you can have a mini garden anywhere in the house - balcony, kitchen counter or near the entryway. And if none of these are possible, you can use the vertical space. Just hang few planters and you will be overwhelmed with the results.

  5. POSTCARD WRITING Write to anyone near or far, close or distant, and you will end up starting your own pen pal exchange In the age of computers, it might seem old- fashioned. But nothing can make someone happier than a hand written letter or postcard.

  6. TAKE UP A LANGUAGE We know learning a new language takes time, practice, and repetition, but it can never be useless. We say so because you can use that language in a distant place you go for surfing. Or may be help someone in trouble just because you knew his/her language. Start off on your own and then join an online group and practice live over the Internet with folks

  7. GET FIT You don’t need a football stadium to stay fit and active. Even your lawn or a 10 feet by 10 feet room will be enough. Do spot running, or lift weight or skip for few hundred times and you are done for the day. You will cut down on the other problem of sitting around too much, gaining weight. Your health will appreciate the boost, and your belt-line will stay put instead of expanding.

  8. EAT HEALTHY Apart from all the physical strength and mental strength, your inner fitness  holds an immense importance in your surfing. Eat healthy and balanced and make sure those silly anxieties don't be a hurdle between you and your surfboard. Build a body that lets you surf powerfully.

  9. READ OR WRITE A BOOK The amount of time now available makes for a good opportunity to finish off some of those books you always wanted to. If you don't have them handy, find them online. There are also lots of articles and blogs online that are quite intriguing. Find your interest and start reading. Or if you are on the other side of the river bring out your creativity and pen down all you have in your mind. You will be surprised with your skill and wonder why you didn't try that earlier. But better late than never.

  10. ENROL FOR AN ONLINE COURSE Online you can easily find lots of courses of your interest. Digital marketing, SEO, Data Analysis are some of the hot topics on the list. You can even follow the famous surf coaches like Cris Mills of Surf Strength Coach. He has whole programs designed to radically enhance your surfing by improving your body. Other names on the list are Shane Beschen, Brad Gerlach, Didier Piter.

  11. PLAN YOUR SURF TRIP Your life does not need to be boring. Take a little initiative and change up your day with some of these activities. At the end of this lock down, you will have a new skill to boast off.
