  1. Bill Foringer • Brockway, PA • Middle of NOWHERE • Very small town population of a little over 2,000 • Only one traffic light in town

School and Work Brockway Area Jr./Sr. High Out of School Learning Started out working doing lawn care and landscaping with my dad Worked in a small food and ice cream shop Also at the same time worked at True Value Hardware Finished this last summer working at Pro Chem Tech • Grades 7-12 have a total of around 600 kids • Graduated 3rd out of only 67 • Took a bunch of AP courses • Knew everyone from every class all through the school • Graduated with everyone being good friends • My class was my second family

  3. Mechanical Engineering • Grew up in a town filled with factories which employed everyone • All factories in the area need lots of engineers so there are many opportunities • Know a lot of engineers in the area and have seen their work • Worked side by side with the engineers at Pro Chem Tech and loved assisting them and the chemists

  4. Four Years Later… • Would like to have had at least one summer internship • Keep a GPA above 3.5 • Leave University Park with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering • Would like to land a job with Bettis Labs located in the outer Pittsburgh area • The father of one of my best friends works there and has told me a lot about the place and I would like to work there too

  5. In My Spare Time… • Hunt deer and pheasants with my dog • Fishing • Camping • Hang out with my friends and girlfriend • Watch movies • Work on computers • Soccer • Street Hockey • Tennis • Football • Bowling • Mudding • Video Games • Watch Sports
