  3. What is selenium training What is Selenium Training Selenium is a free (open source) automated testing suite for web applications across different browsers and platforms. It is quite similar to HP Quick Test Pro (QTP now UFT) only that Selenium focuses on automating web-based applications. Testing done using Selenium tool is usually referred as Selenium Testing.

  12. Selenium Web Driver: Web Driver is a tool for automating testing web applications. It is popularly known as Selenium 2.0. Web Driver uses a different underlying framework, while Selenium RC uses JavaScript Selenium-Core embedded within the browser which has got some limitations. Web Driver interacts directly with the browser without Any intermediary, unlike Selenium RC that depends on a server.

  13. Selenium Grid Selenium Grid is a server that allows tests to use web browser instances running on remote machines. With Selenium Grid, one server acts as the hub. Tests contact the hub to obtain access to browser instances.

  14. The hub has a list of servers that provide access to browser instances (Web Driver nodes), and lets tests use these instances. Selenium Grid allows running tests in parallel on multiple machines, and to manage different browser versions and browser configurations centrally (instead of in each individual test).

  15. Selenium Core Selenium is a result of continuous efforts by an engineer at Thought Works, named as Jason Huggins. Being responsible for the testing of an internal Time and Expenses application, he realized the need for an automation testing tool so as to get rid of repetitive manual tasks without compromising with the quality and accuracy.
