  1. Natural Cures for Skin Eruptions, Rashes and Blemishes If you suffer from pimples, acne, skin rashes or skin allergies, here are some tried and tested ways to help cure them. However, there are no overnight solutions since what needs to be corrected starts on the inside, thus it could take a month (or more) before you see results. The good news is that I know what I’m talking about because I have been advising others for 35 years and at 70 have clear, radiant skin befitting a much younger woman. Therefore, if you suffer from any of above skin complaints, grit your teeth, follow my suggestions (where applicable to you) and you’ll be able to smile at your reflection instead of cringing before you know it. Let’s start with something you know but might not be taking seriously enough, which is of course – diet. As much as possible, avoid high glycemic foods. These are foods that break down quickly in the body but not in a positive way since they trigger an insulin spike which raises blood sugar levels. When blood sugar levels are out of balance, this causes hormonal fluctuation and inflammation, both of which encourage acne. Therefore, if

  2. you’ve got pasta, white rice, white bread, white sugar, processed breakfast cereal or naughty, naughty potato chips or cakes on your shopping list, cross them out and take note of what the American Journal of Nutrition suggests to cut back on skin eruptions. Think whole grains, beans, vegetables galore and become a fan of Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3’s have been shown to control the production of leukotriene B4, a molecule that can increase sebum, which in turn causes acne outbreaks. The easy way out is to take an Omega 3 supplement every day but why not give it all you’ve got and include walnuts, avocados, flaxseed oil and salmon in your diet since these are all rich in Omega 3. Carrot and beetroot juice are super for tackling a mountain of skin issues (I couldn’t imagine life without them). Let’s look at some of the benefits in the hope I can tempt you to include a big glass of one or other on a daily basis. CARROT JUICE is packed with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants resulting in innumerable health benefits. However, regarding the skin, the amount of Vitamin A contained in carrots greatly improves dry skin conditions, such as psoriasis. Additionally, carrot juice works to remove toxins within the body, thus reducing the occurrence of skin eruptions, such as acne.

  3. BEETROOT JUICE. Contains a significant amount of Vitamin C so is very effective in reducing pigmentation, skin discoloration and blemishes. You would need to drink two glasses on a daily basis for a fairly long period to see visible results in above named categories, but in the meantime your skin will look more radiant since beetroot hydrates skin really well. If you don’t have time to make your own juices, buy ready prepared cartons. For extra health/taste benefits, I add a good squeeze of lemon juice and a teaspoon of fresh grated ginger to mine. TOMATOES The juice of tomatoes contains a high percentage of nutrients that are beneficial for the skin. These include vitamin A, vitamin C, lycopene and proteins. Lycopene is basically a carotenoid, which counteracts the action of free radicals in the body. To combat excess production of oils by the sebaceous gland (often responsible for outbreaks of pimples), cut a ripe tomato into two halves and rub the pulpy side over the face. Leave juice on for 15 minutes then rinse off thoroughly with cold water. Repeat this twice a day to improve skin condition. Tomatoes can also help to reduce itching, redness and irritation symptoms since this slightly acidic juice regulates the skin PH level. A super homemade mask to alleviate above skin conditions is to mix a tablespoon of tomato juice in three tablespoons of plain yoghurt. Place in freezer for half an hour so that it hardens slightly then apply to skin for around 15 minutes before rinsing off with cold water.

  4. Dynamic breathing is another must to strengthen immune system, release toxins from the stomach and keep skin radiant and clear. Rather than explain this, it might be easier if you watch my video so we can practice this dynamic breathing technique together. Many skin complaints are due to stress so have some Bach Rescue Remedy on hand and place a few drops under your tongue whenever you feel out of balance. With the above under way, I would like you to put aside any products you are currently using to alleviate spots. Instead, buy a packet of Echinacea tea, seep a tea bag in a mug for five minutes, remove tea bag, leave tea to cool, place liquid in plastic spray bottle and spray on face morning and night. This will help to disinfect the skin naturally. Now think of skin outbreaks. They are hot. They rage. Take the rage out of them by wetting a face flannel, sprinkling with witch hazel lotion, protecting flannel in zip lock bag and leaving in the deep freeze. Once a day, hold ice-cold flannel over face for 30 seconds and pop back in deep freeze for further use. (Rinse flannel out thoroughly every three days and sprinkle with fresh witch hazel).

  5. And here comes the most powerful skin complaint cure of all. Some of you will shudder but open your minds to hear me out. August 3, 2013. Beijing. ‘Doctors in China announce their success in growing human teeth inside mouse kidneys using human urine and mouse jaws. The world’s rapidly advancing stem cell research has yielded successful results that seemed impossible only two decades ago. Growing teeth from urine is a surprise that many never expected.’ I am not in the least surprised that urine has been put to another excellent use. I have been singing its praises for years, having first come across its potential when I studied Ayurvedic medicine in India. The first time I used it on myself was when I broke out in a stubborn, pimply rash that refused to heal no matter what I tried. Seven days into dabbing urine on my spots they vanished – never to return. I recommended urine therapy to a client who had acne. It disappeared. Another was cured of eczema. Another of psoriasis. If you are reading this and thinking ‘Yuk’ –don’t! Urine does not smell when it is your DNA and it’s fresh. It leaves no hint of its origin when applied to the skin – and since it has been used to grow teeth, imagine the healing nutrients it contains.

  6. What to do? Collect a little mid-stream urine in a plastic cup, take a ball of cotton wool and dab your skin twice a day. Naturally, I cannot guarantee you the results that I, and some of my clients had, but what do you have to lose by trying? That’s it. Print this article so you can refer to it on a daily basis, follow suggestions that apply to your skin complaints as outlined above, and in a month or so write back and let me know what skin improvements you’ve seen, as I am always interested in your feedback.
