  1. Playing with Passion, Striving for Excellence! • Summary of the Year 2008 • Some of the main events that highlighted our year • Our U13 Boys East Regional participated in the prestigious 23rd Mondial Pupilles tournament; this was the club’s 7th consecutive year of attending this event! • A key accomplishment for this year, was receiving the award of “Challenge de l’Amitie”, one of the most important awards in this tournament; a very proud moment for the boys and the club! • - Our U15 Boys Regional Team travelled to Spain and participated in the Donosti Cup and then attended a week long Camp at the “Centre Regional Technique” in Nantes. Our International Program was complimented by our strong Ontario Cup presence; Teams that entered this year's cup were: U12Girls Regional, U12 Boys Regional, U13Girls Regional, U14Boys Regional, U15Boys Regional, U16Boys Regional and U21Men teams.

On the field, we had 2 Indoor and 6 Outdoor League Champions, 1 Youth Cup champion, 1 Youth Cup finalist, and an Ottawa Cup Champion! - U13 Boys Premier – League Champions, promoted to Regional - U14 Boys Regional– League Champions, promoted to OYSL, Provincial - U15 Boys Regional - League Champions, promoted to OYSL, Provincial - U16 Boys Regional – League Champions, promoted to OYSL, Provincial - Men Premier – League Champions, Ottawa Cup Champions - Men OT – League Champions The Club, hosted its third Annual Mini-World Cup 2008, EURO Edition; another huge success!! It has attracted 32 mini teams from across Eastern Ontario; once again, this event received exceptional news and Media coverage. A very high standard in all aspects. FC Capital United Soccer Club/Mini World Cup Tournament Series continues to support the Bicycle For Humanity Organization which aims to empower disadvantaged communities in developing countries through the provision of sustainable transport. Capital United volunteers have led the charges in collecting over 400 soccer gear (jerseys, pairs of shorts, soccer balls, shin pads, etc).

Individual Players Achievements Players selected to the OSA Region 5 96' Boys Regional Team Mikael Cantave Roberto Dinuzzo Anthony Lamia Felix Pennell Josue Gomez Sebastien Botelho Taffy Scoggan 96' Girls Regional Team Kendra Ridley Rebecca Leslie Alexandra Zion OSA Region 5 Program selects top players from Eastern Ontario with the objective of preparing them for the Provincials Identification Process a year later.

Players selected to the OSA Region 5 Program and participated in the Provincial IDs in Sept: Samuel Pierre Mikael Cantave Roberto Dinuzzo Arielle Nsimba Kabangu Emily Montgomery Vanessa Germano Asha Mohiddin Vanessa Germano & Asha Mohiddin are presently trying out for the Provincial U14 Squad Players taking part in the NTC Program; Nicholas Noe Gabby Skupek Kristian Quosdorf Haisha Cantave Selected to U16 Team Ontario!

  5. At the upcoming Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) Men’s soccer Championship which will be from Nov 6-9, held at the Carleton University will see close to a total of 10 players, competing at different times, who have played for Capital United / came up through our system. Some who are currently at Carleton University *Karl Wasslen *Hamoudie Berjawi Stephano Vieira Justin Campos

  6. FC Capital United Continues, per capita, to have most representation in OSA Region 5 & Provincials from Eastern Ontario! Great accomplishment! Playing with Passion, Striving for Excellence!
