  5. LAW-RELATED EXPERIENCE 2008 to date Kent Law Clinic The clinic offers a free legal advice and representation service to people in the Canterbury area. I liaise with clients over the telephone, assist at advice sessions and attend weekly meetings. May 2008 Student Visit One-day visit to Julian Lackland, a Kent law graduate, at his chambers. This allowed me to observe meetings and to attend Court. Summer 2007 Hawleys, Middlemarch Two-week work placement with a partner in the property department of a general practice solicitors' firm. I carried out research in relation to a boundary dispute, attended Court and observed interviews with clients. Spring Term 2007 Mooting Successfully participated in University Mooting competition as one of the winning team in the Contract Law moot.

OTHER WORKEXPERIENCE 2007 to date The Bull Inn, Canterbury - part-time bar work and waitressing 2005 – 2007 Flora Motley Ltd, High Street, Middlemarch Saturday Sales Assistant in fashion store: customer service, stock control, cash handling This involved me in advising and assisting customers, coping with problems and unexpected situations (such as a fire alarm) and taking responsibility for counting up and banking money

  7. INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES Music: I have sung many solo parts in school and church choir performances and coached and conducted the Junior School Choir. I sing in the University chorus which performs regularly at the University and in Canterbury Cathedral.. Wildlife Conservation: Last summer I participated in a two-week project monitoring the wolf population in Ukraine. In order to achieve this, I raised £2000 in sponsorship through organising events such as a talent contest. Since returning, I have spoken about my experiences to schoolchildren and the Loamshire Wildlife Trust, of which I am an active member. Classic Cars: I own and maintaina1977 Mini and am secretary of the University Car Club Other interests: Active member of the University Temple Society, Conservation Society and Fencing Club. I swim twice a week and am trying to improve my Russian by independent study.
