QuickBooks POS Error - 193

When attempting to send a mail bag from Headquarters to a remote store, or attempting to receive a mailbag at the remote store, you see the following error:<br>Error - 193 Primary key for dept keywords is not unique.<br>Error - 193 Primary key for table 'Customer Rewards' is not unique.<br>

QuickBooks POS: Error -193 • When attempting to send a mail bag from Headquarters to a remote store, or attempting to receivea mailbag at the remote store, you see the followingerror: • Error - 193 Primary key for dept keywords is notunique. • Error - 193 Primary key for table 'Customer Rewards' is notunique. Why this ishappening • There are duplicate department names orcodes • Customer names have been deleted ormerged • There is damage in the Customer List at the remotestore. • How to fix Error -193 • Make sure Point of Sale is updated to the latest release and try again. If the errorpersists: FIRST METHOD: QuickBooks Error -193 • Go toREPORTS • Run a Customer Listreport • Double click the firstcustomer • Once the customer opens, click View List at thetop • This will open the Customer List in the old v 9version • Press the CTRL + A keys to highlight them all. Once all of the customers are highlightedin light blue, choose I Want To, DeleteCustomer(s) • At the HQ server system choose File, Utilities, ResendFiles • ClickResend • Receive the mail bag at the remotestore. • Intuit Method: QuickBooks POS Error -193 • From the remote store receiving the error, send a mail bag to Headquarters and thenreceive it. • Again from the remote store, choose Customers > CustomerList. • One at a time, click I want to and select Delete until the list is empty. Do not bealarmed; The main customer records are contained at Headquarters and will beresent. • If you have too many customers to click one at atime: • Version 10 and 2013: Click the first customer in the list, press the Shift key,and then click the last customer in thelist. • Version 9: Press the CTRL + A keys to highlight themall. • From Headquarters, choose File > Utilities > Resendfiles. • ClickResend.

  2. 4. Receive the resend mailbag at the remotestore. • Versions 7 andbelow • Version7 • This issue has been resolved in the latest release for your version. Please update your programto the most currentrelease. • Version 6 WindowsXP • To resolve this issue: Check this or call 1855-924-9508 QuickBooks HelpCentre • Choose Inventory > DepartmentList. • Examine the list and locate any duplication of departments orcodes. • Edit any such department and modify the department name or code to make itunique. • Delete the contents of the subfolders of the StEx folder on the Headquarters and allRemote computers: • Right-click the Windows Start button and chooseExplore. • Navigate in the left window to the location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0\StEx\Error.To navigate, click the plus sign (+) next to each folderlisted. • If this folder exists, right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirmthe deletion. • Navigate in the left window to the location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale6.0\StEx\History. • Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm thedeletion.

Confirm thedeletion. • Navigate in the left window to the location:C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale6.0\StEx\In. • Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm thedeletion. • Navigate in the left window to the location:C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale6.0\StEx\Out. • Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. If this folder exists, right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirmthe deletion.
