  1. Clarity™ RP Series:50”& 67” October 2008

  2. RP Series Overview: 50” & 67” The Clarity™ RP Series is an extension of Planar’s latest generation in rear-projection displays, providing superior performance for data-intensive environments. • Outstanding DLP® performance • Available in three screen sizes: 50”, 67” & 80” diagonal • SXGA+ native resolution (1400x1050) • Features Planar’s exclusive SiFi technology for auto-color & brightness control • Industry-leading seamless zero mullion screens • Choice of open or integrated processing electronics

  3. RP Key Benefits: 50” & 67” • Automatic color balance with built-in color sensor and algorithms (SiFi option) • Zero mullion screen design provides a rigid, flat surface with nearly invisible seams • Motorized alignment (engine alignment via remote and menus) • Optional Dual Lamp with lamp changer • Front access, zero rear clearance required (vertical cooling paths) • Modular design for easier component replacement (optical engine, ballast, power supply, input module) • Positive Pressure design • Remote control with OSD Menus • High-bright LED’s for visual diagnostics and troubleshooting

  4. Open Electronics RP Open System: Electronics architecture similar to any multi-sync monitor and is compatible with a wide variety of sources and resolutions. • Uses our latest graphics chipset • Improved Scaler Sharpness • Same OSD look and feel • Each display size utilizes the same Electronics Module, with different firmware • Standard Inputs: • Two Analog D-Sub 15 pin Input and Loop Through • DVI-D Input and Loop Through • Optional Video Input Module (VIM) • Component Input (3 RCA connectors) • Composite (1 RCA connector) • S-video • SDI Input (1 BNC connector) • SDI Output (1 BNC connector) • Big Picture internal processing • SiFi auto-color balance can be scheduled through the WallNet device

  5. SiFi:Auto-Color & Brightness Control and Auto switching lamp The RP Series utilizes Planar’s unique approach to measuring brightness & color and automatically, adjusting an array of displays. • Automatic color and brightness control • True color sensor monitors color and brightness at output of projection lens • The SiFi controller measures and calculates optimal color and brightness settings for entire wall for internal color space converter • Can be initiated manually on a scheduled basis, or event driven (dual lamp change) • Auto Lamp Switcher • Motorized switcher switches to secondary lamp system if primary lamp fails • Optional ACB after a lamp failure • Can be scheduled to maximize efficiency of the lamp performance

  6. Lamp Options The RP Series gives you the flexibility of lamp options to match the needs of your application. • Single • Dual Lamp Changer • There are two lamp system configurations: • Optimal Life (100W)=10,000 hours • Optimal Brightness(120W) = 6,000 hours • Can be set through the on-screen menu of control software

  7. Two Screen Options The RP Series utilizes Planar’s industry-leading screen technology with no stitching or staples & no bowing or pouching. • High-Brightness Acrylic (4.0 Gain)-Preferred • Provides brighter, higher contrast image quality • Recommended for any wall less than 3 displays high • Wide-View Acrylic (1.0 Gain) • Provides a larger viewing angle • Recommended for walls that are 3 displays high and above • Screen bracket choices • Universal and Rear Service • Custom curved screen brackets – Simplifies the installation of curved video walls
