  1. Call:316-869-0948 Important Facts Regarding the 1099-NEC For the 2020 tax year and thereafter, the IRS has restored Form 1099-NEC, Nonemployee Compensation. Non-employee remuneration that was formerly reported on line 7 of Form 1099-MISC, Miscellaneous Income, will now be reported on this form. How to Submit 1099-NEC Files for Your Business Make sure you are a company withholding submitter or that you have a withholding account.

  2. Apply for a Withholding Account for the firm first if you are the business owner/operator or a payroll employee. If you have not previously done so, register to be a withholding submitter using Revenue Online for any companies for whom you are submitting yearly reconciliation papers if you are a tax or payroll professional who manages payroll for numerous businesses. Separate the 1099-NEC forms from all other 1099 and W-2 documents. When sending 1099-NEC files, you cannot submit any other forms. Please take note that 1099-NEC files must be uploaded as.TXT files. Utilize Revenue Online to send your 1099-NEC. Forms 1099-NEC can be manually entered or uploaded for submission.
