  1. How To Configure TP Link Router Extender Setup? TP-Link range extenders help to strengthen the wireless signal of a router. Below are the steps to configure the TP Link router extender setup. Step 1 Connect the extender to your Windows 7 computer using an Ethernet cable. Step 2 On the computer, launch the Control Panel window. Select Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings. Right-click Local Area Connection and select the Properties option. Double-click the ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ option. Click the radio button beside the ‘Use the following IP address’ option. Fill the IP Address and Subnet Mask fields with the correct information. After setting a static IP address, save your settings. Step 3 Open any web browser on the computer. Enter the extender IP address in the address bar.

  2. If prompted for login credentials, provide the username and password in the relevant fields. Once you click OK, you will see the web interface page of the TP Link Router Extender setup. Step 4 Navigate to the Network section. Go to the IP Address field and make sure the extender’s IP address segment is the same as the root router. Select the Save option. Step 5 Click Quick Setup -> Next -> Wireless. Choose the Range Extender option from the Operation Mode drop-down. Select Search.
