  2. STREAMLINED WITH ARTIFAX - SINCE 1986 ABOUT Formed in 1986, Artifax Software originally specialised in software for artists’ managers called ARTIFAX (ARTi filoFAX), later renamed ArtifaxAgent. This was adopted by most of the leading artists’ managers in the UK and subsequently in Europe, the USA and the Far East.. Soon afterwards, development began on a new product for room booking and resource management for the Wigmore Hall in London and the Grieghallen in Norway. ShowRoom, now ArtifaxEvent, became accepted as the industry standard for performing arts centres, used by the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as many other concert halls worldwide. National museums, galleries, theatres, cathedrals, government and local authority buildings all rapidly adopted the software. Later, working in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Festival, ArtifaxEvent was expanded to cater for arts festivals. 02-13

Streamline your business processes with built-in booking wizards, custom fields and contextual forms, user-definable templates, task- driven workflows, plus automatic emailing of reminders and scheduled reports. A central calendar is at the heart of ArtifaxEvent, providing one source of the truth for your entire organisation. Create your own calendar filters and use these for reports, as well as publishing them to other calendar applications (including Outlook, Google Calendar and iCloud Calendar), your website and foyer displays. Create your own sales process stages, booking types, activities, statuses, price codes, general ledger codes, cost centres and departments. Documents and other files can be attached to many different types of records, including people, rooms, resources and bookings. Control access by setting your own document types and security rules. Upload files by browsing, or drag and drop. Create shortcuts to your file server and cloud storage such as Dropbox, Google Docs and OneDrive. Use the MailChimp integration built- in to ArtifaxEvent for seamless marketing automation, or integrate with other email marketing services, such as Constant Contact, through our API. You can do it yourself and no training is required. You decide what it’s called, what it does, the data it contains, how it looks and who has access. A site can be standalone or embedded in your existing website. The ArtifaxAgora platform can be accessed from anywhere, but you can control who can access each of your sites. Future features will include the ability to process payments as part of the Venue HireWizard and to settle outstanding invoices, editing and cancellation of events, and the submission of artistic works for consideration by festivals. The rules you set work in combination to offer maximum flexibility. 11–13

Once a user has access to your site, the information they can see is controlled dynamically, according to their relationship with each record. For example, you might configure the calendar so that everyone can see the name and type of every booking, but only the customer can see additional details. Your site could be for internal users who require simplified or focussed workflows, or for external prospects or customers. You might configure a single site for all purposes or decide that you need multiple sites, each with its own branding, features and settings. Your sites are synchronised in real- time with your installation of ArtifaxEvent, ensuring that both systems are always up-to-date. 12–13
