  1. 8 simple home remedies to get relief from Root canal pain Root Canal is the interior region present in the centre of a tooth. It holds the nerves, connective tissues along with blood vessels of the tooth. As the root canal lodges the tissues for a tooth's natural activities, an infection in the tissue spreads to the entire tooth and put the tooth at risk of erosion. Endodontic Treatment also known as Root Canal Therapy (RCT) is the right solution to resolve such infection in the Root Canals. Toothache and swelling in the treated tooth are the common dilemmas after the treatment. In this article, the Endodontists in Align Dental Care have shared the effective home remedies to minimize the root canal pain. 1)Garlic and Onion juice Both onion and garlic possess antibiotic properties and have been used for a long time to treat various health issues including toothache. Take a slice of garlic and chew it with the root canal filed tooth. Otherwise, crush the garlic and onion to extract their juices. Apply the oil over the treated tooth. If you find hard to bear the taste, then add a few drops of honey. This remedy feeds the tooth with the antibacterial and antibiotic agents to kill the throbbing pain. 2)Pepper and Salt Salt is a highly recommended remedy for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory practice. Rinsing mouth a cup of the saltwater solution is an efficient home remedy for various dental problems including pain in the root canal region.

Mix them well and add a few drops of water to prepare the paste. Apply the mixture over the treated tooth and leave it for a few minutes. Repeat this process for some days. You will find the difference. 3)Cucumber The antibiotics and hydrates present in cucumber have made it as a powerful remedy for tooth pain. Tooth swelling can also be treated with cucumber. Take a slice of cucumber and place it near the infected or root canal filled tooth for a few minutes. It lessens the effect of bacteria and alleviates the root canal pain.

Whether it is apple cider vinegar or vinegar used in cooking purposes, it assures killing the bacteria. 5)Potato Potato has sedatives and anti-inflammatory properties. Hence it is effective to calm down the throbbing nerves and reduce pain. Similarly, swelling around the infected tooth region can also be reduced. Cut a potato into small slices. Take a slice and chew it with the treated tooth. The fluid squeezed from the slice takes to inject the sedatives into the tooth to lessen the pain. 6)Clove

Take some plantain leaves and chew them with your teeth. If you feel it is very soaring, then take some water while chewing. The other method is to take some plantain leaves and smash them and add some droplets of water to prepare a paste. Apply the plantain leaves paste on the teeth.
