  1. BIAZA - REGUA tour April 2010 Sat 17th: fly BA from Heathrow leaving at 1315. Arrive in Rio at 2055 and travel by mini-bus to REGUA which takes about 2 hours.

  2. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Sun 18th: a leisurely day around the Lodge and wetlands learning about the many aspects of the REGUA project.

  3. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Mon 19th: A guided walk up the Waterfall Trail with a picnic lunch, returning to the Lodge at about 4pm. Trail length about 5 km.

  4. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Tue 20th: an early start to visit the orchid reserve of David Miller at Macae de Cima and see some higher elevation forest. The journey by bus takes about 2 hours each way and we will arrive back late afternoon.

  5. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Wed 21st: A morning visit to the newly acquired BIAZA reserve, returning for lunch at the Lodge. The afternoon kept free to explore the wetlands or relax in the garden. An evening walk to look for Caiman, Capybara, night birds and other creatures can be arranged.

  6. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Thu 22nd: A morning tour of the nearby Primatology Centre to see the primate collection and learn about their work. The Centre is about one hour from REGUA and we will return for a late lunch. Walks will be arranged in the afternoon for those interested.

  7. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Fri 23rd: A morning tour of the Matumbo Gap forest, with a chance to see some of the threats to the area and our latest forest restoration work.

  8. BIAZA - REGUA tour 2010 Sat 24th: After breakfast leave REGUA and drive to Rio to visit the Botanical Gardens. Lunch will be taken in the cafeteria and then dinner at a typical Brazilian ‘barbeque’ or Churascaria, arriving at the airport in plenty of time to catch the BA flight at 2225
