India is at the forefront of the fight against tuberculosis (TB). With over two million active TB cases, India shoulders approximately 20% of the world's burden, spanning both regular and MDR-TB (Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis) cases. Shockingly, latent TB affects a staggering 40% of our population, inactive but present in our bodies. For the average person, there exists a 5-10% lifetime risk of latent TB transitioning into its active and more dangerous form.
