  2. Where to live? • There are several choices available to you • Depending on price, location, catered and self catered, en suite and so on.

  4. Castle Leazes & Ricky Road • Both have same prime location in close proximity to the main campus • (Wake up at 8.55am still make it to 9am lecture!) • Castle Leazes is catered based on single rooms sharing toilet/shower facilities on each floor • Ricky Road shared flat self catered

  5. St Marys and Henderson Hall • Both are out of the toon! • Henderson (High Heaton) is catered and much the same format as Castle Leazes. • St Mary’s (Fenham) is self catered with 6 people sharing a flat and communal living area. • Free parking but limited parking on campus means most people buy a bus pass (an extra £90/term) • Huge gardens (ace BBQ’s)

  6. What about after 1st year..... • Popular student areas include Jesmond, Heaton and Sandyford. • Nice mix of student and residential housing. • Osborne Road in Jesmond is a hit with students!

  10. Sport at University • You can play pretty much any sport you want. • If there isn’t a club or society, then make your own! • Different levels of commitment and different levels of ability to suit you. • Intra- mural • For the university
