  1. CLEARING MISCONCEPTIONSABOUT PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING

  2. Majority of applicants perceive the process of pre-employment screening as something that is difficult to understand and explain. Applicants misunderstood the process of pre-employment screening to be something that is composed of permanent records even to the point that any kind is unlawful.

  3. Apparently, there is also transparency in pre-employment screening wherein an applicant is given access to various information gathered from the process. It is not a method regulated to secretly dismiss unwanted applicants.

  4. Employers should let the applicants know beforehand that they will be conducting a pre-employment screening. A disclosure containing the name and contact of the firm conducting the pre-employment screening should be given to the applicant.

  5. In any case, whatever will be the result of the report, applicants should always take note that they have the right to be presented a copy of the said report as well as all their files held by the pre-employment screening firm.
