  3. What is HDF Explorer? • Data visualization program that reads the HDF and HDF5 file formats from NCSA • Supported in the Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  4. HDF Explorer features • Data is first viewed in a tree-like interface that reproduces the HDF hierarchical structure

  5. HDF Explorer features • Data is then optionally loaded and visualized in a variety of ways

  6. HDF Explorer features • Numerical data can be visualized in a grid interface, ordered by rows and columns.

  7. HDF Explorer features • Data can be transformed into pixel colors, providing better insight

  8. HDF Explorer features • HDF Explorer permits the generation of vector data, obtained trough the conjunction of two scalar datasets. Typical usage include the generation of velocity fields.
