Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL Florida State University (FSU), situated in Tallahassee, is a 4-year public research university that serves approximately 40,000 students. • the University of Miami (UM) is currently the highest-ranked school in the state in the national universities category. This 4-year private research institution has a total enrollment of over 15,000 students. Founded in 1925

  3. Who should go to FSU? • FSU has 16 colleges that provide over 275 degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and professional levels. Colleges include the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Communication and Information and College of Business.
