  1. What to Look Forward to in the First Few Yoga Classes in Dubai If you have signed up for your first yoga class or if you plan to enroll in one in the future, puzzlement at this stage is normal. For a non-practitioner, it is natural to feel anxious before your first class. Unlike any other form of fitness, yoga requires control, attention and precision. As a beginner, you may not have an idea of what happens in a yoga class and how to prepare for it. It is essential to read about it in advance and address your queries to your instructor before the class. Here are a few tips to help you understand about what happens within a yoga studio. Timings Whether it is yoga in Dubai or any other city, the class always starts with relaxation in the form of meditation to prepare your body and mind for the session. Relaxation is in the form of deep breathing or by chanting ‘Om’. It is therefore essential to be on time or arrive ahead to prepare well for the class. Arriving at the class earlier by five or ten minutes early will give you time to warm-up and interact with the instructor. Depending on the type of yoga being practiced, a typical session will last anywhere between 45 minutes to 90 minutes. For beginners, the classes are shorter. The duration of the class stretches with advancement in practice. Chanting ‘Om’ Chanting ‘Om’ is an integral part of yoga. These chants also help you stay calm and keep your mind focused. Every class ends with a rest time. Certain asanas help you cool the fire that was built in your body during the session.
