  3. What is ‘ Pelota ’ ? Pelota is... * a sport mostly played in Spain and France, especially in the Basque Country. * the name for a variety of sports that are played in a court with a ball using a person’s hand, a racket, a pala (wooden bat), or a basket propulsor, against a frontón (wall).

  4. How do you play Pelota? * You can play Pelota with a bat, a racket or with a basket glove. * Pelota is played with a rubber ball.

Where is Pelota played? * Pelota is played indoors and outdoors, in a number of different types of courts. * The main court is a two walled court called a frontón * Pelota is played on the following courts: ** Very short court (30m long) ** Short court (36m long) ** Long court (54m long) ** Trinquet (28.5m long)
