  1. What is Family Based Visa In the rapidly changing world of globalization, the boundaries of countries have no meaning. People go to different countries to make their fortune. For this they have to leave their country. Now countries have started realizing that immigrant workers are much more efficient when they are with their families. Keeping in mind this aspect, the countries have introduced family’s visas where you are able to sponsor your families. It takes a considerable amount of time before you apply for a family visa for your family members. After becoming a permanent resident for that particular country and after working for a required period of time, you will be able to sponsor any member of the family for visas to get the permit for that particular country. Sometimes you want to bring your spouse, your children and any other members of the family including grandparents. Once you successfully complete all the terms and conditions of the visas, you are able to bring your family to live with you.

  2. The children under the age of 19 are classed as dependents. There are lots of formalities that you have to perform for the visa purpose. When you are sponsoring your family, there is a minimum required rate for the sponsoring to meet. Your income must be good enough so that the authority is confirmed that you are able to support your family financially. Some countries have fixed the financially responsibility period to 20 years. If you are sponsoring current spouse, make sure you have not been financially sponsored by your previous partner. All the conditions must be fulfilled by the person applying for the visa. In all family based visa applications, the last part of the visa process happens at the embassy or consulate general with jurisdiction over the foreigner spouse or family. Counselor officer will scrutinize the facts of the visa application in order to determine if the person for whom visa is applied should be admitted to the particular country or not. It is possible that after the visa interview, your application will be denied, but this generally does not happen. There are many cases, if the documentary insufficiency is overcome, the visa will be issued. Summary: If is quite essential for any person applying for a visa, that he/she must fulfill all the requirements regarding visa.
