  3. Background • Singaporeans are very apathetic towards conservation issues thus we will like to make use of this project to raise awareness by targeting the retail industry.

  4. Area of focus • Consumers • Corporate social responsibility

  5. Objective • To provide additional incentives to attract consumers into doing a part for the environment by purchasing environment friendly products. • To collaborate with government agencies e.g. PUB to reduce resources usage in Singapore. • To engage the entire Singapore population to be pro-environmentally friendly.

  6. Target Audience • Government • Members of public • Retail industry

Consumer Power • Human are the main cause for the earth suffering • According to Ms November, We can reduce the wastage using our consumer power • People will normally participate in the program. E.g they will buy something they don’t really need just to reach $25 dollar to get a point to exchange for a pot/pan.

  8. GreenCard GreenCard is a card used to adminstrate green points. It helps to keep track of green points that can be accumulated through green purchases and transactions. The Green Card Tan Ah Gao S892XXXXC

  9. How Green Points maybe awarded • Bring own reusable bags • Purchase “green” certified items/products • Sent recyclables for recycling (based by Weight)

  10. Green Points can be exchanged • Exchanged for Green Products like organic food, refill packs • Rebates ( cash) • This will help boost the demand for Green Products . Lower cost in long term due to economy of scale.

  11. Expected Benefits • Give people an additional reasons to go green • Buy environmentally friendly products • Organic • Less packaging • Recycled materials • Do more to help environment • Promote recycling • Volunteering among Singaporean in Green Events Demand for Green Products

Implementation Plans • Phrase one ( Selective Co) 6 months • Rope in environmentally related businesses like EarthShop, BodyShop, GP batteries, StarMax. point will be used to exchanged from participating businesses . NEA • Phrase two (Fully integrated) • Government agencies • Phrase three • Supermarket and retail. • System will be online island wide
