  2. BOC Strategic Goal 1 Create a national practice standard within all 50 states recognizing the BOC exam as the standard.

  3. What is being done? Database on states that require BOC examination – Currently 45 CBE Testing for access Web-casts and presentations CAATE Assistance Item bank development and security

  4. Issues to be addressed Accomplish the mission for the final four states! Provide access and acceptance of the BOC Examination in any states that currently do not address the issue National recognition agreements for reciprocity. EZ Regulation access

  5. Role Delineation 6th Edition The RD provides a scope of practice for the current snapshot in time. Address the overlapping scopes of practice as delineated and validated. Address changes in practice based upon best practices.

  6. What are the challenges for the RD6? Practice “novices” vs. “experts” Discriminate between uniqueness in practice settings that may not be true indicators of entry-level knowledge and skill requirements for all practitioners.

  7. Future • Continue to cooperate with all involved parties. • Benchmark standards of professional competence through research to enhance patient safety. • Standardized language in practice acts is being considered by many jurisdictions. • Some practice acts have not been updated in 15 years

  8. Future Continued • Provide documentation and personnel resources as applicable. • State of California • Address issues of credentialing relative to N. America and globally.
