  1. Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. – An Established Attorney in Criminal and Civil Litigation Dealing with the paperwork and communication involved with the client’s cases, Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. is an established attorney specialized in civil and criminal cases. Currently, she works as Chief Municipal Public Defender where she resolves the scheduling issues and conflict assignments. Rachel supervises the administration of public legal service for the City of Newark’s municipal courts. She also provides the legal services to individuals charged with criminal, traffic, housing, and DUI cases. Rachel advises various clients and represents them and their legal rights in both criminal and civil cases. Her responsibilities cover a wide range of duties and she reviews and adopts policies and procedures that are consistent with the Administrative Office of the Courts and State of New Jersey Public Defender’s office. She also works to provide education and training to the staff on current legal issues and liaisons with the court administration, judges, and other court personnel. She also revises and institutes new office policies post COVID-19 and formulate new office operations that are internet and virtual court based. Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. started her career as an attorney where she retained as a pool attorney to manage conflict cases. Besides, she litigated criminal indictable cases including drug offenses, theft, sexual assault, armed robberies, and possession of deadly weapons. She also assigned assistant public defender to represent clients at arraignment and bail hearings.
