  2. Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. is Currently Working as the Chief Municipal Public Defender • Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. litigates criminal indictable cases including drug offenses, theft, sexual assault, armed robberies, and possession of deadly weapons. • In addition, she provides legal services to individuals charged with criminal, traffic, housing, and DUI cases. • She has been working here since 2020 where she assigns cases and distribution of workload. • Rachel reviews and adopts policies and procedures that are consistent with the Administrative Office of the Courts and State of New Jersey Public Defender’s office. • She revises and institutes new office policies post-Covid 19 and formulates new office operations that are internet and virtual court based.

Rachel Considers it a Great Job to Teach the Students and Make Them Aware of the Law • Rachel works as an Adjunct Professor Criminal Law at Union County College, Division of Social Sciences, Business & History, Cranford, NJ. • She ensures the success of students by providing the effective education. • In addition, she is well aware of Canvas and Cengage online services that she makes use of in order to manage student’s attendance, grading, and assignments. • She teaches students legal writing and case briefing.
