  1. Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. Holds Expertise in Criminal and Civil Litigations as Attorney Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. holds an entrepreneurial spirit to be a solo practitioner. She has a knack for enjoying the business side of running a legal practice and formerly served as the solo practitioner at The Marshall Law Practice LLC in Newark. She reviewed and negotiated commercial leases for retail spaces and contracts for franchise. She also represented real estate developers obtaining affordable housing loans, construction loans, tax abatement applications, and successfully lobbied and orchestrated forty-year tax abatement for the renovation construction of an affordable housing apartment complex. Rachel is currently working as the Chief Municipal Public Defender at City Newark, Municipal Public Defender’s Office. She works to supervise and evaluate the work of attorneys and supports staff. Besides, she liaisons with the court administration, judges, and other court personnel. Rachel resolves court scheduling issues and conflict assignments. She is best known to peel back the layers of a case, going deeper and asking for more information. Her nature pushes her to uncover that information. Rachel Y.
