  2. Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. Utilizes Her Work Experiences and Cases as Teaching Tools • Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. is working to provide instructions to students keeping criminal law and protocols. • As the former solo practitioner, she worked at The Marshall Law Practice LLC in Newark. • Here, she represented landlords and housing nonprofits in tenant eviction matters. • She also managed all the phases of litigation including depositions, document production, interrogatories, motions, legal trial preparations, and settlement negotiations.

Her Role as Adjunct Professor Criminal Law at Union County College • Here, she ensures the success of students by providing them the effective education. • In addition, she is well aware of Canvas and Cengage online services that she makes use of in order to manage student’s attendance, grading, and assignments. • Currently, Rachel is working as Chief Municipal Public Defender at City Newark in Municipal Public Defender’s Office. • She oversees the administration of public legal services for the City of Newark’s municipal courts. • In addition, she provides legal services to individuals charged with criminal, traffic, housing, and DUI cases.

Marshall, Esq. litigated criminal indictable cases including drug offenses, theft, sexual assault, armed robberies, and possession of deadly weapons. • She also assigned assistant public defender to represent clients at arraignment and bail hearings.
