  2. What is surrogacy? Surrogacy is basically the process of assisted reproduction that aids the intended parents/infertile couples to have their child and start families when they can’t do so on their own. Surrogacy involves an indeed a kind activity as one mother agrees to carry the child in the womb, all long 9 months to fulfill the dream of another intended mother or parent. That's the beauty of Surrogacy. 

  3. Who can opt for surrogacy? Women or couples who are infertile and not able to conceive.  Intended couples who facing some genetic disorder and the pregnancy can result into to some child abnormality. Same-sex marriages which can’t result into pregnancy.  A single unmarried male who wishes to have a child.  When pregnancy could be dangerous to the mother’s health.

  4. surrogacy types Traditional Surrogacy- It is the process where the surrogate mother is directly impregnated by the intended Father. In this case the mother is genetic mother of the baby. Gestational Surrogacy- It is the process in which the embryo is conceived through IVF and then transferred into a surrogate mother. In this case the mother delivering the baby is not genetically associated with the baby.  

  5. surrogacy General process The general process in surrogacy is the intended parent/s search for a surrogate mother through a third party (usually an IVF center) and enter into the agreement for surrogacy with the surrogate mother.  Required medical and psychological test is done on the surrogate mother to assess if she is fit for the surrogacy process and delivering the healthy baby for intended parents. Surrogacy is legal in India and has been a successful journey towards a complete family.
