  1. DISTRACTED DRIVER AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS In mid-August, the California Highway Patrol arrested a man for talking on his cellphone when he crashed into two other vehicles, killing both drivers, one of whom was a 19-year veteran of the CHP. According to reports, the driver in custody was speeding while talking on his cellphone when the incident occurred. The tragic crash is a deadly reminder of just how quickly accidents can occur when drivers are not 100% focused while driving. In this issue, we will talk about the increasingly dangerous trend of distracted driving and tell you why it makes sense to leverage the skills and expertise of a personal injury lawyer if you are a victim of distracted driving. A recent study has confirmed that about 69 million drivers per day admitted to using their cell phones while driving. The average cell phone usage time was 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Further, drivers aren’t using their cell phones just for talking when driving. A different
