  1. Study in India vs. Study in Abroad

  2. A significant section of students in India wonder about studying in the reputed universities of the world which makes them inclined towards education in overseas countries rather than study in India. However, there are many factors to consider before deciding whether it is better for a student tostudy in India or abroad. In this article, we consider the various factors that go into consideration for this decision:

  3. Academic requirements: An international university is expected to be more versatile and will require various kinds of skills on the part of the student to excel. The student aspiring for overseas studies must be prepared for the same. It is also a good practice to keep track of what the domestic universities have to offer so as to keep a study in India option as a backup. • Adaptability: Different countries may have different education structure from that of India. It would require adaptability on part of the student to adjust to the new system. Also, the student will be required to adapt to the weather, culture and lifestyle of a new country and be open to changes. In the event that the student does not have a great financial standing, he or she might have to do part-time jobs in order to cope with the financial load of studying in a foreign country, which the student should be prepared for while studying in overseas countries.

  4. Opportunities: Another factor is to consider the opportunities a student will get once they finish a particular course. This will also be dependent on whether the student wants to settle overseas or come back to India. If the student wants to pursue higher education, then he or she should inquire about the research opportunities provided by the institutes in his or her field of interest. Also, the course the student wants to study should be available and should be offered by reputed universities, or else study in India might be a more practical option.

  5. Funds: Everything said and done, a good financial backing is required for studying in a good institute in India and even more so in case of study in abroad countries. A student can take an education loan for the same but he/she will still have to bear the living expenses. Also, if the student decides to settle abroad, he/she will have to find a job there so as to make sure that they are able to cater to the repayment structure. The financial side must be taken into consideration before deciding whether to study in India or go overseas to fulfill your dream of studying in the institute of your choice.

  6. So, as we saw in this article, there are many factors that come into the picture while deciding whether to go overseas for education or to study in India. The students are advised to consider these factors before they make their final decision. • We hope this article was helpful to you! Wishing you all the best for your future!
