  1. What is the best way to cook Braised Sliced Beef Braised sliced beef is one of the tastiest entrée dishes cooked in the traditional Szechuan style. When you visit the best Chinese food bar in Singapore for lunch or dinner, you will be able to order this scrumptious dish.

You need about 1kg boneless beef shin, 1tsp sesame oil, 3 liters chicken stock, 20g finely chopped ginger, 1tsp fennel seeds, 1tsp white cloves, 4 dried chilies, 4 star anise, 1tsp cardamom powder, 1 spring onion cut into small pieces, 1 cassia bark quill, 1 piece dried mandarin peel, 100g caster sugar, 1tbsp vegetable oil, 20ml sherry wine, and 1/2tsp white pepper powder to prepare this dish.

  3. You should first of all clean the beef under a running tap. You should then place the beef in a pan filled with water and allow it to simmer. You will find blood getting mixed in the water which should be removed. You should then take the beef out of water and keep it in a plate. Try to make the beef as dry as possible. Now take a pan and mix the chicken stock, ginger, fennel seeds, white cloves, dried chilies, star anise, cardamom powder, spring onion pieces, cassia bark quill, and the dried mandarin peel and place over medium flame. Allow it to simmer for a while. In the meantime take another cooking bowl, add the sugar, oil, and 1 cup water in a small pan, and heat it. The sugar will get dissolved. Mix these ingredients with the ones kept in the pan. Mix the contents well while adding the wine and pepper to the pan.

  4. Now add the beef to the content in the pan and heat for about 40 minutes on low flame. Now remove it from the flame and slice the beef thin after allowing it to cool down. Add a small quantity of sesame oil over the beef and give it a fabulous flavor.
