  1. Role of Internet During Your Travel The Internet has taken over almost every aspect of our lives now. Though people have raised concerns over our growing dependence on technology and the internet, it's importance while traveling can't be underplayed. But there are a lot of factors that we have to consider while using the Internet on the go since all countries or areas don't charge the same way and don't offer the same services and coverage. We are so accustomed to having free, high-speed internet access in our homes and outside of that, we often forget that we might not have the same facilities while traveling. So, it's also important to be mindful of the limits of the Internet and not be so overdependent that we can't function without it.

  2. Is Internet necessary while traveling? ●Work In a survey of over 1300 business travelers, 49% claimed that free Wi-Fi service is a deciding factor while choosing a hotel and they'd opt for a hotel based on its internet services than its comfort. Staying connected is often an important requirement for working professionals, even if they are on leave or on vacation. Travelers on business trips, of course, need Wi-Fi all the more. Checking and replying to work emails or finishing up urgent business matters or video conferencing while traveling is common now. ●Information But the Internet serves many purposes other than working away from the office. It has now become a great tool for travelers. There are many apps, sites, and services that can be a great help to people visiting new or unfamiliar places or to places they are not accustomed to. You can look up the best spots to visit in your area, learn more about them or find urgent information very quickly. This is especially helpful when you don't know or trust anyone where you are visiting. Google Maps has become almost an indispensable guide for many travelers who don't know their way around. There are many other handy apps that can locate the best restaurants in the area of choice, find shops and connect you to like-minded people or friends around you. All these can greatly enhance the whole traveling experience. ●Social Media We can't talk about the role of the Internet without talking about social media. Digital media has taken the world by storm and most people want to capture the best moments of their trip or journey and constantly give updates on their social media accounts. Social media can also help connect with friends who also might be near you and want to meet or can show you around. Bloggers and YouTubers, on the other hand, use social media platforms for business and connectivity is a must for them. Travel blogging and travel photography are, in fact, seeing a huge boom. With traveling becoming more of a lifestyle than an occasional activity, the internet is also taking center stage in the lives of many travelers. While traveling without Internet is, of course, possible, it's not advisable and definitely not desirable for the majority of people. While making use of the technology available to us, we also need to know when and how to cut back and also do things on our own. Traveling is really a waste if you immerse yourself in your phone or laptop instead of immersing into the beautiful places, experiences, and culture around you.
