  2. Aerospace education incorporates many subjects: • Study of Aviation • Study of the solar system and universe • Design and engineering • Remote sensing • Astronomy • Spaceflight • Robotics • Propulsion

Course Objectives • Application of mathematics and physics in real life situations • Develop skills in engineering, mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion systems • Develop a knowledge of electronics, robotics, wireless communications and computer applications • Refining skills in concentration and hand eye co-ordination • Team and family development • Competitive skills

  4. Workshop Activities • Model Aircraft construction and flight school (Control line, rubber powered, radio control, electric and paper aircraft) • Formation of competitive teams for aeromodeling sports i.e. Control line and radio control flight competitions nationally and internationally • Model Rocket construction and flight testing (water rockets, propellant rockets, special payload launches) • Computer based flight simulator training • Radio and optical telescope construction projects • Camps and field trips • Demonstration flights in real aircraft • Study of robotics and remote sensing systems • Robotic astronomy and local amateur astronomy observing missions/field trips • Scale paper modeling • Engineering projects with piston engines, jet engines, hydraulic systems, electromechanical systems ect.

Available Workshops Course schedules are available to suit different requirements: • Aerospace clubs with ongoing weekly itinerary. 3-4 hours per week • 1 day Aerospace workshops • 2 day Aerospace camp (may be conducted as an overnight camp or as a consecutive daily workshop) • 6 day Aerospace camp with field trips • 3-6 hour workshops that can be built into an existing event • Tailor an itinerary to meet specific requirements • Demonstration events Recommended age - 10 years and above Parents are welcome to participate

Our Goals • To provide a fun, content rich and compelling educational experiences for youth and adults • To compliment the National Education Curriculum • To promote aeromodeling as a competitive sport • To provide incentive in promoting career opportunities • Develop social interactivity, communication skills and self esteem/confidence
